Paul’s letter to Ephesus is teaching them how to live right lives with Christ. But all to often I hear people slander eachother, Christians do it, and to some degree I find myself listening and not saying a word. But we must be accountable for what we say and listen to. Look at this scripture from Paul
29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
and in verse 31 Paul says,
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander along with every form of malice.”
Isn’t this true? How many people this week did you encounter that were talking bad about someone else with no self control? Did you find yourself jumping in? So where does that leave us?
Paul then goes on to say in verse 32: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving eachother, just as in Christ forgave you.”
How many times have we done things that God has forgiven us for? Do we forgive others as fast as He has forgiven us?
